I know you have a bin full of toys for the children to play with when they come over. But have you ever been asked your opinion about what manufacturers should be making to entertain kids?
How about things like car seats or high chairs. I'll bet you've struggled when you had to install a car seat or put together a high chair. Unlike your own children you probably have to put these things away when the grand kids go home. So did the manufacturers every seek your advice? Do they make items that are easy to store? Do they make toys that don't eat up batteries or make intolerable repeated sounds or noise?
This is your chance to let the companies that benefit from your purchases know what you need. And more than that. You can tell them what annoys you about the items you now buy because you have no other alternatives.
Once we get enough feedback we're going to set up a "Grandparent's Seal of Approval" logo that manufacturers can use to let people know that we had a board of grandparents test their items and other buyers can feel safe that the items meet our needs as well as the needs of our grand kids.
For feedback I'll need you to respond on the comment section of this blog. I suggest we all start by commenting on good or bad features of toys, car seats or high chairs that you bought. The ones you keep in your homes or use in your car when the grandchildren visit or when you drive them someplace.
Please be brief but be active in your response. Without your response we will have a difficult time telling manufactuers how large numbers of grandparents feel. In fact forward this to other grandparents so we can get lots of hits and have greater influence. Remember, our mission is to have the companies that make goods that we use for our grandchildren listen to us and design products that we find easy to use, durable and fun for children.

Thanks for joining with us. We're going to do great things for both grandparents and for kids.
I look forward to your comments.
